MESSAGE FROM THE HEADMASTER
Welcome to the website of our beloved Kakina Mahima Ranjan Memorial High School. I hope it will be an experience for you to visit this website and, in particular, to know about this academic institution which has a long history, with a rich educational and cultural heritage.
This is one of the oldest High Schools in the whole of undivided Bengal. As expected, since its establishment, it has played an enormous role in the educational development of this part of the country.
I sincerely hope that Kakina High School will continue to serve with equal commitment and dedication, creating many more scholars and, in the process, helping to build this nation.
With best wishes to everyone related to this historic instituton,
M Asaduzzaman

MESSAGE FROM A HIGHLY RESPECTED ALUMNUS
As an alumnus of Kakina High School, I feel greatly honoured to be able to introduce this new website.
Kakina Mahima Ranjan Memorial High School (widely known as Kakina High School, KHS) was originally established in 1858 as a middle high school and upgraded as a full-fledged high school in 1909. Thus, at the village level it is one of the few old high schools in the whole of the then undivided Bengal. This website helps us to know, among other things, the illustrious history of this great educational institution.
In this age of the internet, the importance of websites as a source of ready information and also as a means of knowledge exchange can hardly be over emphasised. On behalf of all those associated with Kakina High School, I would, therefore, like to convey our sincere thanks to Jahid Faruki for creating this website. He has undoubtedly helped to fill an important vacuum and it is particularly praiseworthy that he has done it while based in Malaysia, currently undertaking undergraduate engineering studies at Universiti Tenaga Nasional; I am sure it has not been an easy task. I am also equally certain that it is his love for his alma mater that has inspired Jahid to take this reat responsibility upon himself.
The website contains some valuable information; however I would like to urge the readers to view it as a modest
attempt to engage with alumni and the public. As I gather, this new site (http://kmrmhs.weebly.com/) complements two websites on Kakina which are already operating - http://www.ubcbd.com/ and http://www.kakina.org/
respectively on UttarBangla Collegeand on the village itself; it is hoped that many readers will also find these of interest.
Congratulations, Jahid! Let your KHS website continue to flourish!!
